Abstract

Ischemic Stroke is a common pathology that presents in the emergency department. It is characterized by a sudden onset of neurological deficit. Prompt diagnosis is essential. It is a time-dependent disease, and the earlier its management, the fewer neurological sequelae the patient will present. We describe a 60-year-old man who was diagnosed with ischemic stroke and then decided to subsequently follow his thrombolytic therapy outside of the therapeutic window time recommended in actual international guidelines with a successful outcome.
